A perfect 10 out of 10 for Round 10 in the seniors on Saturday

The U18.5 Division 2 team played in a top-of-the-ladder clash against Tarneit to kick off the morning on Oval 2. Our boys were held scoreless in the first quarter and allowed Tarneit to build a 16-point lead by three-quarter time. However, Spotty made full use of the breeze in the final term, kicking 5.4 to Tarneit's solitary behind to run out 17-point winners. Our Division 2 team remains in second place, trailing Tarneit only on percentage.

Our U18.5 Division 1 boys had a slightly easier assignment on Oval 1 against Yarraville Seddon Eagles. The boys led from start to finish, eventually running out 86-point winners while keeping the Eagles goalless for the entire match. Will Blair, Lukas Hales and Ashton Heriot were among the best once again, while Josh Sagona led the goal kicking with three majors.

The Reserves recorded an impressive 11-point win over fourth-placed Sunshine, finishing strongly against the breeze in the final quarter. The Spotty boys came out hard and set the tone for what was always going to be a tough contest. Jordan Hallam, Isaac Moore and Liam Girvan were named among the best, while Mitch Schibeci in his 200th game led the goal kicking with two first-quarter goals.

Our Seniors produced a fantastic five-point victory over Sunshine in the main game, holding firm in a tense final quarter. Sunshine had defeated both Werribee and Parkside in recent weeks and came into the match looking like the team to beat. However, the Woodsmen burst out of the blocks in the opening quarter to establish a two-goal lead and maintained their advantage at every break. Led by captain David Iaccarino and Kyle Blake, the backline stood tall as Sunshine desperately searched for a way through the defence. No goals were scored in the final 10 minutes of the match, with Sunshine managing only two behinds during that period. Harley Walshe was Spotty's leading goal kicker with two.

This week sees the Thirds take on North Sunshine at home on Friday night. The U18.5 Division 1 team heads to Altona on Saturday morning, while the Division 2 side travels to Werribee. Both the Seniors and Reserves host Point Cook Centrals at Spotty on Saturday afternoon.
